McEvaddy: Vote no to Lisbon ‘drivel’

MILLIONAIRE businessman Ulick McEvaddy has urged a no vote in the Lisbon Treaty referendum, describing the text of the treaty as “unintelligible drivel”.

The aviation entrepreneur joined forces with anti-treaty group Libertas yesterday in a move that puts him at odds with Fine Gael, of which he is a long-time supporter, and with the business employers body IBEC, which is also campaigning for a yes vote.

Mr McEvaddy criticised the wording of the treaty, a 300-page document of which only a greatly shortened version is being distributed to households.
