Concerns tourist town will be hit with double the traffic
A traffic count almost three years ago showed more than 1,100 vehicles passing through the peninsula town on an hourly basis during the peak tourist season. But officials are expecting that to rise, in the near future, to 2,000 vehicles an hour — exacerbating traffic chaos.
Kerry County Council has warned improved roads, junctions and additional parking are all needed.
