A RIOT erupted in an asylum hostel, Limerick Circuit Court heard yesterday.

Two groups of asylum seekers, one group from Albania, the other from Sudan, clashed in the laundry of the hostel.

Albanian man, Albert Fetau, with an address in Wicklow, admitted to a charge of violent disorder. He was given probation and bound to the peace.
