Celtic tiger ‘not reflected’ in health sector

IRELAND’S great economic success is not reflected in its health service, the Archbishop of Dublin, Dr Diarmuid Martin, declared yesterday.

When Ireland was experiencing great economic success it was not pumping the necessary funds back into healthcare.

And while he was impressed by community services for the elderly and those confined to their homes, it was the bigger picture that concerned him.
