‘Our Calvary is the suffering of child abuse victims’

THE Bishop of Ferns has compared the suffering of child abuse victims in the diocese to the crucifixion of Christ.

Bishop Denis Brennan said Catholic Ferns had to face up to the sexual abuse committed by a small number of its priests.

Dr Brennan said for the people of Wexford the paedophilia of 27 priests was the moment they died and they now had to resurrect themselves.
