Animal groups to picket coursing finals

REPRESENTATIVES of animal protection groups will today protest at the finals of the national coursing meeting in Clonmel.

The third day is traditionally the best-attended day of the Powerstown Park event and pickets will target the entrance gates from noon onwards.

“The cloth cap brigade have blood on their hands. This spectacle is archaic and outdated,” said Association of Hunt Saboteurs spokeswoman Bernie Wright yesterday.
