St Declan’s win as CBS edge out St Augustine’s

AT St Declan’s Community College, Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford, last evening the host team put in a sterling performance in scoring 104 points to defeat Waterpark College and CBS Tramore.

In the first session a local derby between St Augustine’s College, Abbeyside and CBS Secondary School, Dungarvan ended all-square after a very close contest, with never more than six points between the teams.

CBS rallied in the 10th round to force a tie on 80 points, then outscored St Augustine’s on the count-back of correct answers, winning by 15 to 13.
