Green position on treaty a sham, says Coveney

THE Green Party should agree a clear position on the EU reform treaty or pull out of government, Fine Gael has said.

Fine Gael TD Simon Coveney said Green prevarication on the treaty was “a sham” and “a cop-out”.

Green ministers John Gormley and Eamon Ryan are already signatories to the treaty by virtue of the fact they are in Cabinet, Mr Coveney pointed out.
