Three teenagers arrested in connection with Drogheda assault

GARDAÍ investigating an assault that left a man critically ill arrested three teenagers yesterday.

Originally from the village of Donore in Co Meath, 29-year-old Darren McKeown was found on a footpath in the Rowan Heights estate in Drogheda after apparently being viciously assaulted.

The 17- and 15-year-old youths were arrested yesterday morning, while a third, aged 16, was arrested yesterday afternoon. All are male and natives of Drogheda.
