Appeal over missing man

Members of the O’Connor family distributed posters in Ballincollig, Co Cork, as concern for the safety of 26-year-old Stephen O’Connor mounted.

Mr O’Connor, from 23 Innishmore Park on the west side of Ballincollig, was last seen on the town’s Main Street at about 12.30pm on Sunday, December 9.

He was dropped off outside a petrol station in the town by his sister. He said he planned to go to Cork city later but he hasn’t been seen since.

Mr O’Connor is unemployed and on medication and his family are concerned for his safety.

Gardaí appealed for anyone with information, or for anyone who may have seen Mr O’Connor in the hours after noon on Sunday, December 9, to contact them.

Mr O’Connor, who lives at home with his mother, is described as 5ft 11in in height, of thin build with short black hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a three-quarters length black leather jacket over a white hooded top, blue jeans and white runners.

Ballincollig gardaí can be contacted on 021-4871222.
