Research focuses on domestic violence

EVERY year more women in Europe die or are seriously injured because of domestic violence than from cancer.

In western economies last year rape and domestic violence was to blame for 19% of health problems suffered by women aged between 15 and 44.

These are among the findings of a research review which will be launched by the Women’s Health Council in Dublin today.
