PARENTS of primary pupils must be updated on their children’s test scores at least twice a year, according to guidelines for schools to be launched today.

The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment is issuing the guides to coincide with the introduction this year of standardised testing of children twice during primary school.

Education Minister Mary Hanafin will launch the booklet today, setting out that assessment results for all pupils should be reported to parents twice during each school year.
