But unaware of this, like any employer would do, NEWB management made contact with his previous bosses at the Citizens Information Board and felt assured about his claimed qualifications and experience.

Nobody was to know there was no evidence to support his claims beyond his college degree, but even more certain is that nobody could have guessed what would go on at the board’s headquarters over the following two years.
