THE management at one of Cork’s biggest hospitals was yesterday urged to clarify the future of a crucial Warfarin clinic.

Fears were raised just over a week ago that the Mercy University Hospital’s clinic — which monitors the blood thinning medication of up to 600 patients at risk of strokes or heart attacks — was closing.

Hospital chief executive Pat Madden denied the claims and assured patients that the clinic’s services would continue as usual.
