FG attacks Government’s inaction over EU treaty

FINE GAEL last night claimed the Government was in danger of “bungling” the referendum on the EU Reform Treaty because of “inaction and complacency”.

A poll published yesterday showed that just 25% of the electorate intended voting yes to the reform treaty, with 13% intending to vote no, and a massive 62% saying they did not know or had no opinion.

FG TD Lucinda Creighton said the large amount of “don’t knows” proved the Government had “abjectly failed” to inform the public about the treaty.
