Taxi rank security plan

SECURITY staff and gardaí will monitor Cork’s first marshalled taxi rank which opens tonight.

The rank on St Patrick’s Street, beside Brown Thomas, will operate on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 11.30pm and 4.30am.

Patrons will be invited to queue in an orderly manner and marshals on duty will contact city taxi companies when more taxis are needed.
