Massive probe into human trafficking

A MASSIVE investigation is under way by Irish and British authorities, into the trafficking of people into Ireland for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

Minister for Justice Brian Lenihan confirmed an intelligence operation is under way ahead of a planned crackdown later this year.

The minister was announcing draft legislation that will make human trafficking an illegal activity for the first time.
