Exhibition challenges images of ageing

A PICTURE says a thousand words but seeing a 73-year-old body-boarder may leave the viewer lost for them.

The image is part of an exhibition challenging negative perceptions of ageing that opened in Dublin yesterday.

The photographs on display are of older people engaged in various activities such as running, hill-walking and working.
