FG tabled ‘no confidence’ motion too soon, says Labour

THE Labour Party believes Fine Gael badly erred by tabling its vote of no confidence in Taoiseach Bertie Ahern too soon.

In a clear sign that the working relationship between the main opposition parties is no longer what it was, Labour members around the Dáil were vocal in their criticism of Fine Gael yesterday.

Fine Gael decided to table the motion of no confidence on Wednesday, when Dáil business was scheduled to run late into the night.
