Green Party distances itself from call for resignation
Former MEP Patricia McKenna, who recently gained the support of 35% of the Greens for a leadership bid, said the Taoiseach should do the “honourable thing” and resign.
Breaking ranks with elected members of the party who backed the Taoiseach in a motion of confidence on Wednesday, Ms McKenna told The Irish Examiner her call for the Taoiseach’s resignation was simply her “personal opinion”.
