Injured baby’s father arrested

GARDAÍ yesterday arrested the father of an eight-month-old baby who was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries.

Doctors became suspicious of the injuries, believing they couldn’t have been caused accidentally.They contacted the Health Service Executive (HSE), which then informed gardaí.

The infant was admitted to Cork University Hospital (CUH) on August 15 last.
