A MAN escaped death when a shotgun blast was fired through a glass door at his home in Limerick.

The shooting happened in Assumpta Street, St Mary’s Park, at 8.30pm on Tuesday night. It is believed the intended target ducked for cover as he went to open the door on becoming suspicious.

This is the second gun attack in St Mary’s Park in recent days.
