FUNDING for homeless support services in Limerick might be cut despite the death of a man who was crushed in a skip while sleeping rough.

The freak accident which led to the man’s death comes as Limerick City Council revealed both its emergency accommodation and its transitional/permanent support beds were full.

Figures provided to the Irish Examiner in August revealed that the city’s 192 emergency beds were full, while the 65 transitional and permanent support beds were “always full”.
