Murder hunt after man dies from internal injuries

GARDAÍ launched a murder inquiry yesterday in Westmeath after a postmortem revealed a man died of serious internal injuries.

The alarm is understood to have been raised at around 4am yesterday.

The body of a man in his 20s was found in a camper van at Lough Lene, Collinstown, Co Westmeath. Reports suggested the camper van arrived beside the car park near Lough Lene late on Wednesday night, joining another two camper vans nearby. Gardaí were later called to the scene.
