Woman killed in road accident

A WOMAN in her 80s was killed yesterday in a crash in Co Cork. Her husband was seriously injured.

She was a front-seat passenger in a car involved in a collision with a van at Rathmore on the N72 between Mallow and Killarney at 5.20pm yesterday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband and the van driver were taken to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee.
