DPP file over Dennehy attack

GARDAÍ are preparing a file for the DPP following an attack on a former Republic of Ireland international soccer player who is fighting for his life in hospital.

A senior Garda yesterday confirmed a number of people had been interviewed since Miah Dennehy was attacked outside a pub in Mayfield, Cork, last Friday.

It is believed the Garda investigation has focused on one man, already interviewed by detectives.
