A YOUNG Dublin man arrested following the shooting dead of a teenager in Co Meath told arresting gardaí he didn’t mean for anyone to get shot.

‘I am sorry. I never intended for anyone to be shot’

Joseph Sullivan, 24, of 25 Ballyfermot Road in the city, appeared at Dublin District Court yesterday charged in connection with the death of 17-year-old Sumbo Owoiya who died after being shot through the door of his apartment in Dunboyne, Co Meath, in the early hours of last Friday morning.

The accused, who was one of two people arrested on Friday evening in connection with the shooting, currently faces a single charge under the Firearms Act, which is possession of a gun in suspicious circumstances.
