THE Dublin teenager beaten to death in Lanzarote was an award-winning student who had recently finished his school exams.

Derek Cumiskey, 18, was holidaying with his older sister, Joanne, when he was attacked by men wielding an iron bar.

He was set upon on Wednesday at 5.30am while returning to his apartment beside the island’s seafront in the popular resort of Puerto del Carmen.
