‘Filthy’ Louth hospital bottom of online survey

OUR LADY of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda was described as “filthy” with “toilets often blocked for long hours”, according to an online survey of hospital cleanliness standards.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has refused to acknowledge the irishhealth.com survey — to which 8,000 internet users contributed — saying it uses its own audit results to gauge hospital hygiene standards.
