Your chance to perform on the stages of Las Vegas
According to TG4, Glas Vegas is an opportunity for an up-and-coming talent to be discovered by showcasing their abilities on national TV and then on the famous stages of Las Vegas.
It’s not just limited to crooners. According to a TG4 spokesman, “whether you have the voice of an angel, more magic tricks than Merlin, or some other hidden talent”, everyone is welcome.
Age is not a barrier as all ages have been invited to participate.
“From belly dancers to fire eaters, comedians to street performers, from the weird to the wonderful, this competition is open to all,” the spokesman added.
Auditions will take place around the country this month and successful candidates will be invited to battle it out on TV for the right to travel to Vegas, enjoy the holiday of a lifetime and take centre stage in front of industry mover and shakers.
Application forms can be found on TG4.ie and the closing date is July 20.
Glas Vegas follows on from the hugely successful Britain’s Got Talent where the winner, Paul Potts from Wales, won £10,000 (€15,000) in prize money and the opportunity to perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance this December.
Up to two million British viewers texted their votes on the final night of the television show.
