Students to discuss test changes with Hanafin

DOZENS of school leavers will, early next month, air their views to Education Minister Mary Hanafin on controversial plans to change the Leaving Certificate timetable.

As the final papers in this year’s exam were being taken yesterday, the minister has already received dozens of responses to her request for those completing this year’s exams to e-mail her office about her plans.

“Some of those who reply by e-mail will be invited to meet the minister,” a Department of Education spokesperson said.
