Detectives are still pouring over a “flood of information” unearthed by the massive investigation and hope to bring charges against key people behind the murder.

The 28-year-old mother-of-two children was gunned down by a killer at the doorway to her home in Swords, north Dublin last November.

The murder shocked the nation and sparked a major garda investigation, which has so far resulted in the arrest of 13 people.

The garda probe has found evidence of a sophisticated murder operation involving Middle Eastern criminals, a major Dublin gang and a notorious Limerick criminal family.

“We are working away on it, there’s no doubt about that. We are collecting all the information and distilling it. We are also dealing with a wide geographic area,” said one garda source.

Detectives point out that they have a large array of people to gather evidence on.

These include people who secured the transport, people who secured the weapon, the person who requested the murder, the people who organised the logistics of the murder, the actual killers, people involved in the disposal of the firearm and the car and people associated with all these individuals.

“We have a flood of information, which we have to distill and turn into evidence,” said a source.

“Our main aim is to gather enough evidence against the person who ordered the murder and the person or people who carried it out.”

Gardaí have pointed out that mobile phone information in relation to key suspects, including the person suspected of ordering the murder, was circumstantial and needed to be supported by other evidence.

The 13 people so far arrested include foreign nationals, questioned on suspicion of firearms possession and a number of Irish people on suspicion of possession of information in relation to the murder.

It’s suspected that murdered Dublin crime boss Marlo Hyland teamed up with a Limerick gang — which had dealings with Middle Eastern criminals — to murder Ms Saulite on behalf of the foreign gang.
