Challenging but not too tough

STUDENTS in Killarney emerged from examination halls wearing broad smiles yesterday morning after sitting the Junior Certificate Civic, Social and Political Education paper.

One of the first to come back into the blazing June sunshine at Killarney Community College was Jennifer O’Keeffe whose first reaction was “grand, easy enough”.

In the poster section of the paper, she had no trouble at all, she said, and chose Know Your Neighbour Weekend as her subject.

“I think I designed a fairly good invitation. It was easy,” said Jennifer.

Another Killarney Community College student Jamie Breen was also happy. “Some questions were hard, but others were an absolute doss. Most of the paper was okay though,” he said.

Jamie picked the Mock Election question in the poster section.

“I drew a crowd of people looking at two people sitting down waiting to see who won the election,” he said.
