An Post workers protest at plans

POST office workers held a one-hour work stoppage yesterday and vowed to hinder attempts to open up the postal market.

Post offices across the country were closed between 1pm and 2pm as employees walked out in protest.

It is thought that services in at least 85 post offices were affected during the stoppage. More than 200 people also protested outside Dublin’s GPO.
