HALF of Ireland’s young people say they live at home with their parents because they cannot afford to move out, according to an EU-wide survey.

The poll, published to coincide with European Youth Week, paints a picture of 15-30-year-olds throughout the member states.

Ireland’s young people are the most favourable towards the EU and a higher percentage than most of their contemporaries in other member states are employed, but they have the poorest language skills.
