Ahern hits airwaves before media ban

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern will dominate the airwaves today as Fianna Fáil attempts to wring the very last out of its election campaign.

The 24-hour moratorium on election coverage kicks in tomorrow, preventing broadcasters from covering parties, candidates or their canvassing.

Mr Ahern will be interviewed on TV3 at 8am this morning, and will follow that with interviews on the Pat Kenny show on RTÉ Radio 1 shortly after 10am and the Six-One News on RTÉ 1 at 6pm.
