The main parties have spelled out plans for cutting class sizes and providing pre-school places, but university fees are not on the roll call, writes Education Correspondent Niall Murray.

EACH of the main political parties is in complete agreement — third-level college fees will not be reinstated by the next Government.

After that, however, it’s a lucky dip of policies and plans in terms of education spending and priorities for the next five years.
