FF labels FG contract a ‘con job’

FIANNA Fáil spent yesterday attempting to dismantle Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny’s debate performance and the ‘Contract for a Better Ireland’ which he is offering to voters.

Finance Minister Brian Cowen claimed the Fine Gael contract was nothing more than “a con job” comprising “empty soundbites and gestures”.

As part of his contract, Mr Kenny is promising 2,300 additional hospital beds over the next government’s five-year term.
