Garda dies from gun wound

DETECTIVES were last night investigating the death of a colleague who was found dead from a shotgun wound at a Garda headquarters.

Gardaí said they were not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident at Harcourt Street.

Investigations are focusing on whether the detective garda, 48, took his own life or if he could have been the victim of an accident. He was licensed to carry a firearm.
