PDs row in on promises to revitalise Dublin

THE Progressive Democrats became the latest political party to unveil an ambitious plan for Dublin.

Following promises by other parties of a directly elected mayor, the PDs rowed in yesterday promised improved local governments, more investment, better public transport, more roads and a revitalised city centre.

Launching the plan at the Guinness Storehouse, party leader Michael McDowell said the PDs understood the strategic importance of a thriving capital city.
