Fine Gael and Labour fail to agree on key manifesto commitments

KEY commitments in the Fine Gael manifesto have not been agreed with Labour, despite the two parties claiming they are united in their approach to government.

However, they have struck accord on a Fine Gael proposal to introduce free GP visits for all children under the age of five.

The party’s leader Enda Kenny was vague yesterday when asked how, exactly, the policy would be implemented.
