Case study: My sons had SSSS
She claimed that there was an outbreak in the west of Ireland in 2004 and this was never made public. She said her babies were very ill after she brought them home from a maternity hospital in the west of Ireland.
The woman, who now lives in Kerry and does not wish to be named, said: “When the babies were diagnosed the people in the hospital did not seem to want to dwell on it. They just wanted to treat our twins and get them out home.”
