Mother fears missing son was killed

A LIMERICK mother whose son is missing a year yesterday, fears he has met a violent death.

Richard ‘Happy’ Kelly who would have turned 19 next Saturday may have been abducted by a Limerick drugs gang.

Wide scale searches by the gardaí, backed up by the army, have been concentrated on the Anacotty area where he was last seen alive.

Speaking from the family home in O’Malley Park, his distraught mother, Mary Kelly said: “I have given up hope that he will be found alive. He has been harmed. Whoever did it should be man enough to let us bury him. If they had one ounce of decency they would pick up a phone or send word.”
