Newbridge come back to win quiz on tiebreak

NEWBRIDGE College, Co Kildare won the TCH All-Ireland Schools Quiz number 191 last night on a tiebreaker from St Joseph’s Patrician College, Galway.

Held in Tullamore last night, the first two teams produced an absolute cliffhanger. Newbridge were behind by 22 marks after round four and clawed their way back to level the contest after round 10 with both teams on 106.

On the breakdown of correctly answered individual questions, both teams were again equal so it went to a tiebreaker which Newbridge won. The Newbridge team consisted of Ciaran O’Carroll, Ralph Hurley-O’Dwyer, Neil Diver and Daniel Diver.
