€100,000 childline appeal gets cooking

TOP CHEF Derry Clarke of L’Ecrivain Restaurant welcomed little helpers into his kitchen yesterday to launch a €100,000 appeal.

The funding is needed to meet rising demand for the ISPCC’s Childline’s support and protection services.

Last year 639,968 calls tried to get through to Childline, but due to lack of resources the charity is able to answer only two out of five calls each week.
