FF advertisement lacks ring of destiny, claims opposition

IN an unusual moment of political graciousness, Fine Gael yesterday welcomed the “spirit of generosity” inherent within the Fianna Fáil party.

Following advertisements in Fianna Fáil’s Árd-Fheis programme for the forthcoming “Cairde Fáil” with the Taoiseach on December 7, 2007, Fine Gael said it was both “thoughtful” and “decent” of Fianna Fáil to begin organising an event at which its leader Enda Kenny would be the guest of honour.

“Their spirit of generosity was very welcome if unexpected...,” said a spokesman, “but we will probably be able to organise the event ourselves.”
