Maternity row hits clinics for 200 outpatients

APPROXIMATELY 200 outpatient appointments at the country’s newest maternity hospital have had to be cancelled because the hospital failed to open on schedule at the weekend.

Expectant mums due to attend outpatient clinics at the new €75 million Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) today and tomorrow, were yesterday advised to instead attend clinics at the Erinville Maternity Hospital and St Finbarr’s Maternity Unit.

Mums with outpatient appointments at the new hospital for later in the week are advised to contact the patient information line at 1850742628 for rescheduling.
