FG, Labour have made ‘reckless spending promises’

THE main opposition parties were yesterday accused by Fianna Fáil of ramping up “reckless” spending promises in the run-up to the General Election.

Social Affairs Minister Seamus Brennan used the launch of the Clár for the party’s 71st Árd Fheis at City West this weekend as a platform to attack Fine Gael and Labour of “auction politics”.

He claimed the promises made by both parties could cost billions and would be dangerous for the country in the long term.
