Feast of fashion at Thai restaurant to help children

FOOD and fashion was the order of the day at a top Dublin Thai restaurant yesterday.

Feast of fashion at Thai restaurant to help children

Saba, one of Dublin’s most fashionable eateries, became a showcase for the Design Centre’s spring/summer collection.

Those at the charity lunch were treated to a champagne reception followed by a scrumptious meal served up by executive chef Tao Trakoolwattana, who once cooked for the king and queen of Thailand.

And there was plenty of appetite left for the fashion show which featured creations from top designers, including John Rocha, Patrick Casey and Ben de Lisi. Highlights included a Kenzo fitted cotton pink floral dress (€695), a charcoal grey jersey silk dress by La Petite (€825), and a Jasmine de Milo burnt orange dress with black lace (€849). Funds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation that helps grant the wishes of children who have a life-threatening illness.
