Job losses fears come at a worrying time for the pharmaceutical sector

FEARS over the future of 600 jobs in Nenagh come at a worrying time for the Irish pharmaceutical/chemical sector.

Only last month, more than 500 workers at three Pfizer plants in Cork were alerted their jobs were under threat.

The company announced plans to shed 65 jobs, while another 480 were in limbo as sections of Pfizer’s operations were put up for sale as going concerns.
